Are there sharks in the Gulf of Mexico off of Key West ?

to be honest, their are sharks every where in the ocean. I dont know if this is true or not but i saw some thing saying if you swam in a certain part of the gulf of mexico for any amount of time, you most likely were at least 10 ft. away from a shark at atleast one point of time. Relax though, sharks are not out to bother you

ya the gulf has sharks, but your more likely to be attacked by dogs or deer then a shark.

most of the sharks in the gulf are reef sharks which aren’t aggressive towards humans. There are however some other types of sharks such as bull sharks in the gulf but your chances of encountering one is almost 0. There is a better chance of running into an aggressive shark at the beach then in open water.
